Dalziel/Rawkin Mossbank Ayrshire

I am trying to join some dots on my family tree. I have ancestors James Dalziel born 1824 in Mossbank married to Helen Rawkin born 1828 in Mossbank. They had a daughter Jane bprn 21st Sept 1850 also in Mossbank. I am trying to fnd out more information such as marriage date, parents, other children etc. Any help would be greatly appreciated

If James and Helen died during or after 1855 - their death certs will show parents names and mothers maiden name

Scotlands People is the website to use to search for their marriage and deaths but as it was pre-1855 it is unlikely it will give much detail.  You need to select Old Parish Registers (OPR's) for the marriage and Statutory deaths for post 1855 deaths

Where do the 1824 & 1828 birth years for James and Helen come from? And their place of Birth, Mossbank? Have you got them on any Census?

I see a Jane DALZIEL of the right age with parents o right names but  'wrong' ages and place of birth:

Father James b abt 1809, Cambusneathan, Lanarkshire and mother Helen b abt 1818 Kilwinning

1861: Sunnyside,  Kilmaurs - age 10, b Kilwinning
Father James b abt 1809 amd mother Helen b abt 1818 - in Kilwinning.

1871: Sunnyside Kilmaurs: Helen b abt 1818 Kilwinning is the Head, possibly a widow and the only child with her is dau: Helen DALZIEL age 7, b Kilmaurs.
The child appears to me to be the same as on an indexed IGI record:
     Helen DALZIEL - b 10 May 1863. Kilmaurs - parents James DALZIEL and Helen RANKIN

1841: This DALZIEL family are at  :
High Row Fergushill, Kilwinning - James 30, Helen 20  (ages rounded) and their two sons age  3 and 1. James is stated as  not born in Ayrshire.

There are quite a number of other children in this family ....but is it your family?   RANKIN  would be much more likely than RAWKIN, in my mind -  as  a Scots name.

The marriage was for James Dalzel & Helen Rankin, 22 June 1838, Kilwinning.

Also a death for Helen Dalziel, other surnames, Rankin, 1885, age 66, Kilmaurs.

So it looks like it should be Helen Rankin not Rawkin...Need to look into the Birth years
