Davies in 1881 and maybe 1871 please
« on: Saturday 08 November 14 08:07 GMT (UK) »
In 1891 Lizzie Davies is 41 (1850), married, living on her own means and born Fulham. Daughter Ada is 19 (1872) and born Hammersmith. Daughter Nelly is 15 (1876) and born Camden Town. There is also a Mary Whiter , widow, 71 (1820) monthly Nurse from Fulham.
In 1901 Lizzie is Elizabeth and from Chelsea but still born 1850. Older daughters gone  but the 6(Albert) and 1 (Elsey/Elsie) year old are 16 and 11. 1911 Lizzie is dead and the 2 youngest are living with the ? step ? father from 1901
Can anyone see Lizzie, Nelly and Ada in 1881 please and if there is enough info from 1881 then 1871 as well. Have been pluging away with my free FindMyPast for the weekend but my dial up is SO slow and prone to disconnecting. Most likely London but not neccesarily, hence my post on the general board

Hi
Do you have the birth certificates for either Ada or Nellie? The reason I ask is there is a potential entry in 1881 with Ada Nellie and Elizabeth, together with a husband and other siblings, but without proof of dad's name, it would remain only a potential.
It's in Hammersmith, spelt Davis, 47 glenthorne road. RG11 piece 56 folio 8 page 8. But as I say unless you know dad's name it does not prove this is your family.

Thanks Cas and candleflame. Looks very like them. interesting the name change for the husband but then the 1901 "husband" called himself Davies when he was actually a Heywood
