Not surprising it is hard to find the family on one of the transcripts in 1871 Tom, see below:

Elizabeth Lehon 49 b. Haddington
Richard Lehon 70 son b. shop keeper b. South Leith
George Lehon 15 son shopboy b. Edinburgh

Address: 6 Hill Square, Newington/ Edinburgh

Hi Monica,

Yes, that looks like them in 1871 in Ancestry, but I think it is transcription error by Ancestry, rather than Enumerator error. As LDS has Richard Letton in 1871 Census, and he was 20 not 70.

Hi,

I like Jonn's find, but Ancestry and LDS both have them as Letter, could be a poorly written record on census for both to transcribe them as "Letter"
