Hi folks,  `I am researching my family history and I am looking for information on Helen White born 1866 and who married James Porter in 1905.  They brought up my mother Jemima Porter who I believe was adopted by them.  I have all Jemimas' details but Helen White and James Porter seem to have vanished.  I know they lived at Reid Terrace at one point but would love to know what happened to them.  I am coming to Newton Stewart next month to do some research but would like as much info as possible before then to help in the process.

Scotlandspeople has a death for a Helen Porter(other surname White) 1935 Dumfries ,Dumfries , born c1866.
