Do any of you have Elizabeth Mylchreest christened 19 nov 1752 in your tree?
I imagine she is sister of Elinor B; 1756 and Patrick B: 1750
She married a William Skelly and had a son Thomas Skelly in 1785
I am trying to figure out if this is Thomas Skeally that married Jane Kissack 23/4/1803
Any help would be greatly appreciated
Sally

Hello! Someone pointed me in your direction. According to Family Tree Maker, I am 1st cousin 4 times removed to your William Charles, and great-grandniece of his wife Elizabeth.

I have that Eliza was buried 19 Nov 1868 in German, IOM, two years after William was christened, but have no other children for her. I also have that Paul and Anne (Quayle) had 6 kids - 4 IOM and 2 Liverpool.

I'm descended from Elizabeth's brother James Cashin, who was born in Peel, but had moved to Liverpool by the time he married in 1900.

Hello Jo:)

Welcome to Rootschat.

Strangely enough I have never done any research on Elizabeth Cashen (Cashin). I just looked at her on my tree on An***try and it has matched my tree to another tree that has her on it.

The owner has her parents as James Cashin and Jane Ellen MacDonald.

They also have your James Cashin married to Catherine Ann McMaster.

Thanks Mab

That's them, although I didn't know Jane had a middle name. There don't seem to be many of us Manx Cashin/Cashens left. Most of the Cashins I run into are Irish.

hi,,,paul married eliza hester faragher,12/12/1863,kirk german,they had 2 children,john,born 1865,and william  charles ,born 1866,,,as you say eliza died 1868,,and paul remarried,ann elizabeth quayle 1870.
they had ann elizabeth, who was listed as 2 on the 1871 census.
i think john may have died,as there is no further listing for him.also ann elizabeth.
the family moved to liverpool ,1875/6 ish,and went on to have more children.
william charles was  a liverpool pilot..he died 1918,aged 52.
ann elizabeth quayle has been a bit of a strange one,,as i find her mum ann quayle ,as a widow in liverpool,on the 1841,,on the 1851,ann is still classed as a widow, but ann elizabeth appears on it aged 8,,by that time they are back in the I.O.M,.......i probably have loads more to find out about this family,,,this is my husbands side, his mum was daughter of henry paul mylchreest,(son of william charles).........i have really enjoyed doing this family, and learning about places on the IOM.........julie
