Was James Sutton and his parents still alive after 1841?

James SUTTON baptised 23 Jul 1780, St John the Baptist, Frome.

His Parents were Thomas and Milliard? SUTTON who married 20 Sep 1779 at St John the Baptist, Frome.

James had a brother, William , whose descentants I have found.

I have no details for his sisters Lucy baptised 6 Oct 1787 and Milliard baptised 4 Feb 1789.

Can anyone help me find out more?

there is a james Sutton age 70
1851 census piece 1932 folio573 page 7  nunny
Thomas Sutton age 42
ann age 34
ann age 9
Dinah 11months
james Sutton age 70 born frome

That could be him as his brother William had a daughter named Dinah born 1814 as well.

Hi. Found a Lucy Sutton marriage 1st June 1812 to James Bennett at St John the Baptist, Frome.

Not sure if you have this - James Sutton marriage to Ann Coombs 15 Nov 1802

James Sutton and Ann Coombs had a son; Thomas born ca 1810. He married Ann ??? about 1835 in Frome. They had two girls; Sarah Ann and Jane Dinah - see message 2 from DORAN54.

Hi, cannot find a baptism for Thomas with James and Ann as parents. The only one I can see at the moment has William and Christian as parents and he was aged 11 when bapt 1809.
Cannot see a marriage for Thomas and Ann either.

Baptisms for children of James and Ann -
3/12/1803 Sarah Ann
1/8/1807 James
10/2/1810 Jonah
24/7/1813 Mary

(just a mention as it may help search James bapt 1780 has his parents as Thomas and Melliar - slightly different.)

I did find a later marriage for a James Sutton (possibly James jnr?)to Mary Ann Newport 2/5/1841 in St Johns, brides father shown but no Grooms father.

Freereg has a number of entries for Sutton family around Frome.

William Sutton; the son of Thomas and Milliar Sutton; married Sarah Carter 31 Oct 1808 and had the following children.

Joseph 1809; Dinah 1814; - she was married to James & George Parker. Jonah 1817; Jacob 1818 and Philip 1821.
