Thomas  also served with the Canadian army in WW1 which is where I have come across a tree on ancestry showing that he and his wife died there  Thomas 1945 fort William Ontario no date for Elizabeth their son Thomas john hucker was born devon 1900 and died thunder bay Ontario 16 jan 1987 this tree shows he did have a brother Samuel so the 3 huckers I found together on that document were the correct men.
 so Thomas went to Canada sometime after 1901 as they are on the census

Thomas is also on the roll of campaign medals and awards for the 2nd boar war 1899-1902

Robert james 1862,mary ann 1864, eliza jane 1866-1943,
George Edward 1877, Samuel Charles 1878-1943,which is Samuel mentioned in other post,
 sarah ann 1879-1959
