I am amazed at all this information,i did have the info  about my grandfather William going over and having a wee boy that he brought back for his mother to look after, but its Ireland and I can never find anything there so I am trying for his family in America and I now have Tobias over there.I can only THANK you all for all this help.you are wonderful people. My Grandfather William must have came back over 1922/1924 because he married my Granny in Scotland in 1926 but would never tell anything about his family in Ireland. So thank you all vert much.

That William Stapleton cant be mine as he married my granny in 1926 at currie near Edinburgh. He was very elusive, his daughters tried to find anything about him but nothing. There was one new year he had a couple to many and he said about being to America and he had a fiancé in Ireland that he sent money over for her to join him but she came on the Titanic and we know what happened there. He always sang the song ( I will take you home again Kathleen } but I have tried checking it out for someone with that name but got nowhere. You are right enough I do have a few now to work on,which is great.Rootschat is a great site so many helpful people, thank you all very much.

My concern is - have you got the right Stapleton family from Thurles ?  because all those I have found link together with William (and Mary is his wife listed in 1930  ?  ???)
