A bit more detail here-
Coulter's and Graham of Tempo.

I have extensive details on the Coulters arriving in Australia through Edward around 1858 on the Escort. Edward was married to Jane Graham, certainly within Enniskillen, but most likely from the village of Breandrum. Jane also had a nephew "William Graham" in Australia as well and I suspect that an entire family of Grahams came out to Aus.

The parents of Jane are, I think Isabella and William Graham.

Go and google trove, all BDM details and more are there

Regards

and here-
Hello, I am interested in the Wests of Sligo county Ireland as well. I have a William Clarence West born  about 1819 in Sligo  Silgo who moved to Tattykeeran in county Fermangh. The name George was of interest to me as it is in the family as well. i believe I have the correct middle name for William West. His son was William John West. There was also a George, Charlie, Margaret (who moved to Victoria Aus) Sophia Ann and Josephine. I have photos of William John 9also moved to Sydney) and Margaret

To find Irish ancestors for such an early period you need to see if church records exist.
Have a look at Introduction to Irish Records and My Ancestor came from Ireland - where do I start?.
Away sorting out DNA matches... I may be gone for some time many years!

Hello mmccook,

I am also interested in Coulters from Tempo, Co Fermanagh, who may have emigrated post-1880, though I'm not sure where.  Details are - Andrew Coulter married to Anne, formerly Robinson;  children Mary Jane C., Annabella C., and William James C.  I'd be grateful for any information on these ancestors.

Regards

Sean.

Hi,
Not sure how much of this you already know but on 12 Mar 1874 Andrew Coulter married Anne Robinson in Clogher Presbyterian Church. Mary Jane C was born 27 Apr 1875 and Annabella C was born on 11 Mar 1879 in the townland of Edenbane between Tempo and Fivemiletown.

Edward Coulter was born abt 1801 in Breandrum, Brookeborough, Enniskillen, his father was James and mother Mary. Five mile town is not far from Breandrum. There are also a few Coulter's in Tattykeeran. I have no record of an Andrew, but have not looked.

Google Earth is very useful in working out locations

Thanks for that, no doubt Samuel fits, but its a question of where. Looking though the Australian data, there is an exodus of Coulter's from this area to Australia. They have tended to move as families 1840 - 1870 period.

A good way to find them is via a website called "Trove new south wales" all old newspapers have been scanned in and the family notice section is amazing. You can also find detailed immigration records there as well. So you could find Andrew Coulter there or at least eliminate Australia.

If you know who Andrews parents were then go to BDM Australia and search Coulter Andrew, you should get a death certificate quite easily that way, but if you find a suitable candidate go to trove before ordering a copy of the certificate.
