What would his actual date of death be?
BTW The family move to Oz a few years after this.

Have you looked at Jerripedia?
Their BMD Index is here: http://jerripediabmd.net/Default.aspx
Main page: http://www.theislandwiki.org/index.php/Jerripedia

Baptism: 12th January 1813  at St Helier
Daniel Jones Valpy Dit Janvrin

Father: Daniel
Mother: Elizabeth (nee Jones)

I think transcriptions are up to 1842 currently?
Garrad (Suffolk, Essex, Somerset), Crocker (Somerset), Vanstone (Devon, Jersey), Sims (Wiltshire), Bridger (Kent)

Thanks, had that date already but being baptism it means he could have been born in 1812. I have had a look on jerripedia, most useful.
Wondering whether there is a record by some helpful soul in Jersey who could find the death date approx 1886, because I have not discovered that online as yet.

I am coming back to this person, there are still two unsolved pieces of information.

I have finally ordered the testament of Daniel Jones Janvrin, which I await with interest. However, perhaps someone could help with confirming these two people and who their father is:

Daniel (Clarendon) Marmaduke Janvrin b1877/78 born London and Ivy Muriel Frances Janvrin b1875. IMFJ it seems marries back over in Canada (these Janvrins were linked to Nova Scotia) and there it says John Janvrin being the father, however I cannot piece together the link... she is staying with grandparents in 1881, Ivy is with the grandmother in 1891, but I cannot find a John Janvrin who could be the father of these children, and also I cannot find this John being the son of Daniel Jones Janvrin.
Perhaps someone could help.

Ivy's Ontario marriage (1898) gives her parents as John & Elizabeth Janvrin. Any chance that Daniel Janvrin's daughter Elizabeth Caroline is Ivy's mother? Elizabeth Caroline died in New South Wales, Australia in 1906 but is in her father's household in 1881.

Daniel Clarendon Marmaduke Janvrin, clerk, born 13 Oct.1876 joined the civil service in New South Wales 10 Oct.1894 which gives another N.S.W. link.

Sydney Mail & New South Wales Advertiser, 26 Dec.1906: JANVRIN.— -December 21, at Sydney, N.S.W., Elizabeth Caroline Janvrin, aged 57 years.

Adelaide Observer, 20 Apr.1901: Daniel M. Janvrin (Dec. 16) sends his address from Sydney for brother Bruce, in London, who has not heard of him for nine years.

Daniel C.M. Janvrin (age 75) died 1952. He m.(1903) Annetta M. Christensen.
Percy H. Janvrin, son of Daniel J. & Henrietta, died 1932 N.S.W. He m.(1890) Charlotte Grant.

Added- just because Daniel & Ivy are listed as grandchildren in 1881 census doesn't mean that they were siblings.

Could this be Daniel's brother Bruce in London?

Bruce Reginald McK. Janvrin
born c1879 died Oct./Dec.1921 Kensington, London

Could this be the same Bruce? and if so, could this Elizabeth be the mother of Ivy (rather than Elizabeth Caroline Janvrin)?
1901 census there's an Elizabeth Janvrin (married, age 50, born Ireland) with children Bruce (age 20, born Poplar), Stanley (age 15) & Mabel (age 9)- both born Mile End.

Mabel Maud Janvrin (birth registered 1891 Mile End) died 1984 Worthing, Sussex
https://familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:QVC1-F7QQ

Stanley Wallace Janvrin went to Canada (1903) but was in U.S. by 1918- WWI Draft Registration Card gives birthdate as 8 July 1883, citizen of Great Britain and contact is Mrs. John Faist in Hamilton, Ontario (Ivy Janvrin!).

Stanley's marriage (1928 as W.D. Stanley Janvrin) gives his parents as Wm. Janvrin and Elizabeth McKennell!
https://familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:VFQ5-QJ8
Birth registration is under Wallace Dudley S. Janvrin. Stanley died 1960- https://familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:2CHR-7WQ

Which brings us to... London & Surrey Marriage Bonds & Allegations- 19 June 1874, St. Stephen Parish Church, Paddington, Middlesex- Daniel William Janvrin, age 21 or over, of Clarendon Grove, St. Heliers, Jersey, bachelor and Elizabeth McKennell, age 21 or over, spinster of the Parish.

Going back to Jersey census records- Daniel W. Janvrin, born Cape Breton, Nova Scotia, was the son of Daniel J. and Henrietta.

At least 2 online trees give Daniel Clarendon Marmaduke was the son Of Daniel William & Elizabeth but that would need to be verified.

True about the siblings bit. BTW I saw that Bruce thing the other day, I need to pursue that. Is Bruce unusual for that time, haven't come across many in that era.
