I am looking for MacIvers from Uig. Donald and Christina MacIver b 1861 had at least 6 children. One of these, Charles MacIver b 1887 emigrated to Winnipeg Manitoba. Eventually became Chief of Police there. I would like to find descendents of his brothers and sisters: Catherine, Mary, Johanna, Neil and Christina.

Macivers of 15 Breasclete. After the death of Finlay Maciver in 1885 widow Ann Maciver (nee Macarthur) emigrated with her family to Queensland Australia, that is all those who were still living except son Donald 1859- would was married and lived in Glasgow
They had 10 children as follows; John 1857, Donald 1859, Mary 1862, Peggy 1865-1868, John 1868-,
Peggy 1870, Neil 1872, Catherine 1874- Malcolm 1877- Angus 1880-. I do not know how many of their children survived by the time of the emigration in the late 1880`s.
A new croft history of the village of Breasclete has just been published by Seallam , Northton, Harris------ price range £20-£25. ISBN 978-0-9928142-1-2
