Robert Roberts born 1832 in Llanycil.
« on: Tuesday 18 February 14 15:04 GMT (UK) »
Hi. I am trying to trace Robert Roberts born in Llanycil abt 1832.

I have him on 1871,1881,1891 census living with wife Ellen Davies in Trawsfynydd.
They had 5 children in the 1860's Mary 1860,Jane 1862,Richard 1864, Laura 1867 and Robert 1869.
I cant find marriage for Robert and Ellen.
I found one for correct names in 1857 Corwen but turned out to be wrong couple.
I have found some RR in earlier census but cant be sure which is right one.
1861 census for Ellen shows her married but staying with parents.
Any help would be great in finding the marriage and RR parents.

Hi Pam,
Thanks for your help.
Yes it is the Robert you mention in 1871 c.
In 1861c Ellen shown as already married so dont think it can be the unmarried carpenter.

Could be the the RR in the 41 and 51 census but dont know for sure.

Have you looked at the marriage to an Elinor Davies in the Apr/May/Jun quarter of 1859 in the Bala District of Merionethshire,Volume 11b,Page 777.The marriage is given as a definite pairing on North Wales BMD.It refers to a Bala Civil marriage between the couple.
