Samuel Atkinson - Lisnalong
« on: Monday 11 October 10 01:21 BST (UK) »
Hi,

I'm trying to find the date of birth for Samuel Atkinson of Lisnalong. I believe he was born around 1871 and died in 1920. I also believe he was the sub postmaster for Lisnalong. I believe he was buried in Ballybay Church of Ireland graveyard. Can anyone help please?

I've looked on family search and found a possible link to his parents but need the DOB confirmed.

I.G.I. have some, not all, Irish births 1864-c1882- www.familysearch.org

Also try Irish Births on LDS Pilot site which cover 1864-1881-

Away sorting out DNA matches... I may be gone for some time many years!

This is the only Samuel Atkinson of the correct age in the 1901 census. Not sure if you already have that info.

Samuel was born 26 November 1869 in Claraghy and died 8 March 1923. He was the sub postmaster in Lisnalong. His parents were Matthew Atkinson and Mary Black. I have information on this family if you are still searching.

Hello Legend,

Sorry for the delay but any information on this family would be of great interest. Samuel was my maternal great grandfather. Many thanks in advance.

Dear All,

I am also researching my family history, Elizabeth (Lil) was my Grandmother on my Father's side- i would love to have any information that you may have, especially his death. I found the death entry on Irish Genealogy and all the usual on the Irish Census site, would like more if anyone has anything.
