Hi Margaret

Rossie Place is off Easter Road, so the factory may well have been in Leith, or the Abbeyhill area.

There were a number of soft drink suppliers to the Edinburgh region, last century.  From memory, Leith's, Leitch's, Globe.  Probably many more, so you might still be guessing if you found out where each of these was located.

Most probably Hendry's in Abbey Street at the time (more recently at Lower London Road). Both addresses are within about 4 minutes walking distance of Rossi Place.

hi AlbR
i looked at the 1911 census again and the heading read
calton  -  abbey  - edinburgh.
so i think it must be as you suggested Hendry's.
thanks
margaret

FWIW Hendry's became part of the SCWS, but the name Hendry's was resurrected in the 1950s as a rebranding excercise to try to widen the appeal
