Can anyone help me. Found this as a place of birth for one of my relatives. Know it would be in Clackmannanshire but in the 1820's ish time or earlier would it also be classed as Alloa.?

Hi

Are you sure it's not (meant to be) " Tillicoultry "

Hmm,  if your sure then  maybe it's a farm or very small hamlet or even a house name.

However, I've found 7 seperate  instances of persons being transcribed in a census as  enumerated  born:
Lillicoultry
Lillicoulty
Lilli Contly
Lilliemlety
Lillicoulloy
Lilliouldry
Liltian

And every last one, when viewing the actual census is clearly  a version of Tillicoultry (Tillicoulty, Tillicouldry).   The T is very easily mistaken as an L in some handwriting styles.  And a lower case 'u' is easily misread as an 'n'.

I'm with Ambly on this one.

Is it an OPR Birth/Baptism image you're looking at or some sort of transcription?

If it's an actual image, could you post a snippet for us to have a look at - or alternatively, give us some additional details and we might be able to find this person in other resources?
