1851 has Abraham (57) with wife Mary (54) and children Jane (14) Samuel (13) and William (6).  Living at 4 Tilletts Rents, Lambeth.

The sheet clearly shows William (6) as a son; perhaps Wiiliam on 1841 census was not a son or had died.

thank you for your reply to my enquiry, I know that my grandfather Samuel married Sarah Elizabeth Russell in 1865 but of my greatgandfathers other children I know very little, i presume that the girls married (therefore changing their names) but to whom I have no idea, also there is some story that William the eldest son went to the usa but there is no conformation of this. I probably have living relatives in their descendants!
many thanks for your help Braiman

2 questions 1/do you know roughly when your great grandfather samuel died
2/who was the father of your great grandfather abraham sharp was it a thomas sharp
if it was then abraham was married at least twice the second marriage was to a mary ann phillips in lambeth in 1849
his occ is down as lighterman on this marriage he is down as widower his father thomas sharp who is deceased at this time had occ ;as market gardener on this marriage
there is also another marriage in 1866 in clapham between abraham sharp widower and mary ann proctor widower
abrahams occ on this marr; is waterman
his fathers name is thomas sharp
his fathers occ is down as market gardener
of course he would have been aged about 72 for this marriage
there is a marriage in 1818 of an abraham sharp to a mary garlick in battersea this could be the first marriage
if you want the full info on the 2nd and 3rd marriages i will print it here

abraham sharp son of abraham/mary sharp born on sept 28th 1831 was baptised on 30th march 1834 at battersea st.mary
abrahams occ; lighterman

and there may have possibly been a son before william in 1822

Thank you for your reply, I think my greatgrandfather Abraham died in the 1860s but have no conformation of this, and sadly I do not know the name of either of my great great grand parents, I am not aware that my great granfather was married more than once but of course this is possible, the 1818 marriage is I am sure Abraham`s marriage to Mary Garlick my grandfathers parents.
