I'm trying to trace any information on my 2 X Gt Grandfather, William Joseph Sweeney born in Newport, Mayo around 28th July 1818. He married an Elizabeth around 1845.
They had at least four children, Jane A. born around 1858 in Newport
Joseph " " 1859 " " my Gt Grandfather.
Elizabeth " " 1869 " "
John " " 1870 " "
Elizabeth and the four children moved to Clitheroe, Lancashire, England sometime in the late 1880's
They are listed in the 1881 census for Clitheroe stating Elizabeth as a widow.
My Gt Grandfather Joseph met married a local girl and had two children, George and Annie, my grandmother. Any information would be greatly appreciated.
