Hi

June Qtr 1847, Uppingham
Ref: V15, pg 107
The two Brides are:
Jane ARMSBY
Jane ODOM

The two Grooms are:

No John DUNMORE there? or any 1847 Uppingham entry (on FreeBMD?

My mistake. Put the wrong name in. It should have been Robert Nutt not John Dunmore. What I was asking was who married who?
Sorry for my error.

No worries  :)

Do you happen to know anything about Jane ARMSBY, such as how old she may have been & where she was born?

In 1851, Jane NUTT is in Rutland with her children (husband Robert not home) still indicating b abt 1822 Nassington. (funnily enough she apprars to be surrounded by a number of THORPE families!!)

On the IGI is an extracted entry for a Jane ADAM chr 27 Dec 1822 Nassington, parents William ADAM & Elizabeth.

So I'm wondering if this is Jane ODOM, and that Jane ARMSBY married Thorpe.....

Hello Ambly. I am trying to clear up an enquiry for a friend in trying to establish who Jane Armsby actually married in 1847. Without actually applying for the marriage cert I was hoping someone may have access to the Uppingham marriage records. I have so far been unable to uncover the necessary info via online records. This one missing detail would clear up many unanswered questions.
 Thanks, Andrew.

Hi Andrew
Someone may pop up with access to parish records - I couldn't find any myself.

However, if your friend knows where her Jane ARMSBY was born and whenabouts, and is confident the one marrying in 1847 Uppingham is the right Jane who  *wasn't* born anywhere near Nassington Northamptonshire - then I'd suggest the  Jane ARMSBY per marriage in 1847, married Frederick THORPE

Cheers

I agree with Ambly - that it was Robert Nutt that married Jane Odom.   No Armsby (or variants thereof) in Nassington.

There is an entry on the new familysearch for a Jane Odam bp.28/12/1822 Nassington, dau. of William and Elizabeth.

So it looks like Frederick Thorpe married Jane Armsby.   (I cannot find them on any census).
