my wifes mother was mary ann duffy .married from gull cottages 1921

please can you help my wifes mother mary ann duffy lived at ( not quite ure of the name perhapes you know the correct name we thought it was gullenstone cottages ,her brother thought it was gullanthem cottages ,it is not far from westmoreland park raithmines and rathgar east dublin,)if i can find the correct name of the road,or cottages ,i can search more better,we know it is gull something,could you let me know when you have the corrct spelling please

Doing a quick search shows properties for sale in Gulistan Cottages, Rathmines. There are some images also.  They show on Google map.

this is the OSI site and the present day map for Rathgar etc. Use the pan section to move around. If you find the are click on the historic 25 map and that would have been around the date you require.

They would be the same cottages but much more expensive now  ;)

yes it was gulistan cottages ,now mary ann duffy livedthere with her parents and i beleivetwo brother john and george in 1921 when she married thomas murphy from westmoreland park ,isthere any way i can confirm this like a street map which tells you who lived there ,andof course the marraige certificate,

I checked Thom's directory for 1918 and all it says for Gulistan cottages (Ranelagh) is what looks like "63" small cottages (I may have read the number wrong, no matter).

But critically, no breakdown (surname) details, so sorry ...

George Duffy lived at 49 Gulistan Cottages with McEvoys in 1939/40
