SUSAN DODD, born c.1873
« on: Sunday 18 March 12 10:35 GMT (UK) »
Hi.  I've been trying for a long time (years in fact) to find out where my great grandmother was born.  In the typed registers it's listed as Landneaz, Radnor, but looking at the original written 1881 census it looks more like Lanchicay, Radnor, neither of which sound particularly feasible.  I've pored over maps of the area, but can't find anything remotely resembling these.  Can anyone help please?  Her father and mother were Joseph and Ann Dodd.  Joseph is listed as being born in Enley, Shropshire, which I can't find either!  Many thanks.

the registration district covered these parishes

Many thanks for that Osprey.  I know that by the time she was married she was living in the Llanwonno area of Glamorgan, the same area I grew up.  I remember her well as she lived well into her 80's.  I thought it would be nice to go and see where she was born.
