Rees, mining family. Help me find them PLEASE?
« on: Sunday 31 August 14 12:35 BST (UK) »
I want to find more of the Rees family but have very little to go on I'm afraid.

David Rees had a daughter called Jane, born in Cardigan/Talybont/Aberystwyth area in 1863. When she married in Nov 1891, David is listed as deceased and a miner.

Any pointers?

Thanks in advance,
Hywel

Any other info on the marriage certificate. What were the names of the witnesses. Could they be related?
Jones, Davies, Evans, Williams, Daniel, Thomas - Glamorgan
Keen, Goodwin, Pyatt, Leese, Bailey, Loffill, Stubley, Brassington, Blurton,  - Staffs

Who did she marry and what was her address at the time of marriage so we can look for her in the census forms ..The more information the better  :)

Thanks for the interest guys.
She married a Thomas Edward Williams; of whom I know much more. The witnesses were Williams too.

General consensus of another thread is that her address was Penglais Rd, Aberyswyth but this isn't 100% certain due to poor legibility.

Later census give her birth date as ~1863 and places include Talybont/Aberystywth/Cardigan.

Miner in this area could refer to lead mines?
