I really appreciate the time you've so obviously spent, the results are brill and needless to say - I am keeping them all.

Wiggy, thanks for the prompter re requesting a dateing, I will amend my initial subject heading but I may (only may) have resolved the possible dating myself.
I have just looked at Aunt Rosina's Marriage Cert and she was married in April 1918 in Guildford so I'm wondering if the photo was taken on her wedding day , in which case  you're pretty close with your estimate, Wiggy.

I did think that myself and I can't see evidence of a ring worn over the gloves, but the clues fit.  Even if it's not a wedding photo then perhaps it was taken for her sweetheart if he was serving (just being a tad romantic here).  Whatever the scenario though, the time fits.
