Hi and welcome to Rootschat

You will need to supply more information

Names - birthyears etc etc

You also need to include what info you already have in the way of census/BMD so we don't duplicate it

Suggest that you look up the 1901 census, Surname "Michie", first name "Alexander" second person's name, "Robenia", location, Hillhead of Contlaw, West Peterculter.  9 family members at that address.

Regards

Malky.

Got that census
Trying to find unconfirmed link between a Michie and an Ogg, believed to have been a surgeon in Gordon Highlanders, and killed in Boer war.
Also a surgeon at Aberdeen hospital.

Do you have a christian name for either Michie or Ogg

The 1881 Scottish census has 112 male entries for the surname Ogg who were born between 1870-1880 and 202 for the surname Michie for the same birthyear span

Who was the surgeon - Michie or Ogg?

With so little information, particularly no christian names or birthyears - it's an impossible task to link them together

Could there be a little confusion with "Sir Alexander Ogston", son of "Prof. Francis Ogston".
