Ann Slevin/Slavin
« on: Monday 15 October 12 17:17 BST (UK) »
Looking for any information on the aboves Ancestors

According to the 1911 English Census she was born in Glenfarne, Leitrim, Ireland in Abt 1852.

She Married George Abraham Perry in 1870..on her marriage certificate it shows her father as (looks like) FARRELL SLAVIN..labourer, I have found a New York Arrivals for a FARRELL SLAVIN in 1852 around the same time as her birth so not sure if its the right one.
I have all her Census details from 1861-1911

Her mother also called Ann is showing as widowed in the 1861-1881 Census only showing she was born in Ireland (no Town or City) abt 1815.

Any help on Farrell or Ann would be greatly appreciated.

Hi woody32,

Ann snr's death certificate may have the name of her spouse which may then help in the Leitrim search.

1871 has an Ann Slaven born abt 1815 with a lodger Annie Slaven and others.
This Annie may be the daughter of a Patrick according to other censuses.

There is also an Owen Slaven and family in Wakefield.

All these may be related and it would be worth you looking at them and noting them e.g Owen married in 1861 and Patrick in 1865 both in Wakefield.

regards
