Thank you for that. I did find those links, but not much else.   Coleman Street was heavily bombed during WWII, so I imagine that the current Coleman Street Buildings was built after the war.  Beyond its location and that Rev. John Newton, the author of Amazing Grace lived there, I know nothing else.  I'm interested when the first Coleman Street Buildings was built.  How many units were there?  Were they all on street level?

You can see the original shape of "The New Buildings" on this 1772 ward map http://mapco.net/london/1772wardcolemanstreetb.htm

They must have been substantially demolished and/or rebuilt when Moorgate Street was constructed in 1846.

Thank you for that ShaunJ. It says on the first link you provided that they were first called Coleman Street Buildings in 1799 by Horwood.  Richard Horwood the cartographer made a detailed map of London in 1799.  I'm now trying to find a close up of the map that shows Coleman Street.
