hi staffs
i have found my joseph and phoebe bruerton/brueton in birmingham on both the
1841(mistranscribed as branton) HO107; Piece 1149; Folio: 13; Page: 19
1851 (mistranscribed as burton) HO107; Piece: 2061; Folio: 382; Page: 37;
joseph born darlaston 1789
wife pheobe born handsworth 1792
i am sure this is the right family as they have a son elijah 1818 (my grt x3) and there are not many elijah bruetons about)
the eldest son joseph is b 1815 darlaston (not on census with them)
the youngest is john b 1829 birmingham
they move sometime abt 1819 from the darlaston area into central birmingham
someone on rc ,very kindly ,found this as possible marriage for joseph and phoebe ,
from igi
Joseph Bruerton married Phoebe Dangerfield on 25 Aug 1805, St Lawrence, Darlaston near Wolverhampton, Staffordshire
and also on igi there is this , probably the above pheobes bapt
Phoebe Dangerfield, daughter of William Dangerfield and Lydia, christened 10 Sep 1781, St Bartholomew, Wednesbury, Staffordshire
but is she my pheobe ?
did she marry so young ?
also there is an unusual gap between the 1805 marriage and the bpt of eldest son joseph 1815
she would be abt 52 when youngest son john is born
and the bpt is at darlaston and the pob in census is handsworth (though i know pob is not always the place baptised)
i know she may be my phoebe
but what does anyone else think ?
thankyou for reading
p.s i may not be a to reply straight away , as i dont have a pc at mo but can read on phone (but it wont let me answer in threads)
