Hi, I am trying to locate the marriage of William Owens born 1845 and Mary Jacob 1846. I know the Owens were from Pembrokeshire and have also found Mary on the 1851 Census and this states she too was born in Pembrokeshire, Ambleston. The 1911 Census states they were married in 1878 but I have looked on Ancestry and Family Search but can't find any info.

Would be grateful if anyone could have a look to see if they can see anything.

Thanks

Alison

Hi Alison,

Found the marriage on FreeBMD.org, it is as follows:

Jacob, Mary to Owen, William; June Qtr 1878; Haverfordwest Reg Dist; Vol 11a Page 995

It seems either that William married under the surname Owen or its been incorrectly transcribed as Owen instead of Owens.

Hope this helps.

Kind regards

David

Mary Jacob was baptised at Ambletston on the 23 Feb 1845 the daughter of James and Ann Jacob and as you are probably aware married William Owen at Ambleston on the 23 May 1878.

James Jacob had married Anne Jones at Ambleston on the 13 Nov 1832
