Difference in Medal Cards for Men Killed on Same Day

I have two medal cards for an uncle and nephew , both killed on 28th June 1915 with the 1/8th Scottish Rifles at Gallipoli. Can someone explain why there is such a difference in the Medal Cards.
Neither of the men has a known grave . James Donnelly was 17 years of age and his uncle ,James Burns , was 34 years of age.
