For 37 years I have struggled to push my Purvis line back beyond 1860 Anson County, NC. I need this groups help; this is a tough one.
Who are the parents of William A. Purvis that married Sarah Jane Graves?
Family tradition say that William and a sister stowed away on a ship and came to America.

I have over 30 documents and in every case (except one land deed) my 2nd Great grandfather is referred to as William A. Purvis.
