Margaret Leiley - Catherington, Hampshire
« on: Friday 17 October 14 21:08 BST (UK) »
I am looking for any information on Margaret Leiley, she married Edward Hoare on 1st April 1782 in Catherington, Hampshire but have not been able to locate any information relating to her parents, siblings etc.
Edward & Margaret had at least 1 child - Margaret Hoare (born in Finchdean in 1787-  died in Buriton in 1878), she married John Bridle, I have not yet found any other children of Edward & Margaret.
Any information on Margaret Leiley (or Edward Hoare or Margaret Hoare) would be appreciated.
Thank you

It looks like Edward and Margaret had another daughter - baptised Peggy in 1783 in Catherington, but I can't find any further trace of her.

Hoare was quite a common name in the area!

Thank you.

I think I have Edwards parents as possibly Edward Hoare (c1740 Belendworth) & Anne ? but this is only a possibility at present, as you say, there were a lot of Hoares in the area.

Margaret Leiley - I have found no information at all so far

Thank you for your help, will look into Peggy

Best wishes

This shows the  "Peggy", mentioned in previous post, which I believe is short for Margaret.

I take it the it is your tree I see on Ancestry? (have you looked at the other tree there that seems to show some other siblings)

Good Luck
