In 1920 there was a Simon O'Connor living at 50 York Street.

Going by your other thread you have mentioned that your Mum was born at or near York Street.

Going by the prison record Simon had a brother called James.

This is James' baptism

So, obviously this makes them Simon's parents too !

Yes you are right.........it seems as if the threads have overlapped......I really wanted this one to just concentrate on my mother and her brothers and sisters in relation to St. Kevins rather than go back into grand parents etc.... My mother died when I was 14 so I don't have any birth or marriage certificates at all, hence me asking questions. I am going to email the church later today as you suggested as that seems the best way forward. Also, how/where did you find that the Senior O'Connors, Simon and Mary Ellen were living in Hagan Street in 1938?

Thanks
Sean

Hi Sean

Sorry that your Mum passed away so young  :(

So, without certificates, whom have you gotten information from ?

I'm always wary of going on 'family stories'. While they are great, I find they must only be used in ADDITION to factual paperwork.

Anyway, I would prefer to start with your parent's marriage cert to get her father's name and occupation, that's the only way that you can be 100% sure that you are working with the correct family.
