LAWSON CRAYTHORNE 1882-1916
« on: Tuesday 02 December 14 12:37 GMT (UK) »
To help compile a book of all the fallen WWI heroes who came from Great Easton, Leicestershire I am looking for a photograph of the above. He served in the 1st/5th Battalion of the Northumberland Fusiliers but, unfortunately, they have no picture of him in their records.

He was the son of Thomas William & Mary Anne Craythorne and had several siblings including Adelaide, Thomas and George. As far as I know Lawson did not marry.

If there are any descendents of this family who can help I would be very grateful to hear from you.

Have you looked to see if he is in anyone's tree, such as in ancestry or other sites?

Just for reference, father Thomas also uses William, and some children swap name order, so in 1881 Lawson's family appears to be:

at Brookside
Occupation:    Agricultural Labourer
Registration district Uppingham  Sub registration district: Great Easton

Mary A. Craythorn    40
Margaret Craythorn    8
John Robert Craythorn    6
Thomas Wm. Craythorn    4
George H. Craythorn     8 months
