Herbert/ Dowdall

I am having a problem trying to uncover a mystery nephew
Stanley George Herbert died 1969 in Mansfield informant was Desmond John Dowdall stated as nephew,
But this is the bit i get stuck on. John T Dowdall and Alice Rimmington had 2 children Doreen born 1928 married 1965 no children and Desmond born 1930 married 1958 no children.
Stanley Herberts wife name was Lily Elizabeth Lockstone so no Rimmington surname there.
Can anyone help me find a connection please.

We might need a bit more info to help.... I can't even find Stanley Herbert's death in Mansfield 1969?

The link could be further back, could Stanley Herbert have been married previously and he was a nephew through marriage etc ?

The only Stanley George Herbert that I can see, died in 1969 in Hatfield, Hertfordshire, registration district.

I have him born in 1899 Islington died in hospital in Mansfield 1969.He married a Lily Elizabeth Lockstone according to the info i was given in India.

Added: it is strange that the death registration only gives his year of birth and not his full birthdate, as they were usually entered by 1970... perhaps the person who registered his death didn't know it?

Not sure I understand the relevance of India?

I would think the India reference has come from the same source as the wife being Lily Elizabeth. I had a look to see if he could have even married sisters, there is only this birth
