I've had to put my research on this family on hold and have not yet purchased Charles Louis' death certificate yet.
However, on Augusta's Death Certificate it states: died 14 Sept 1904 at "Corio" Spring St, Burwood, NSW, age 86 of Senile Decay. She was a widow. Her father is named as Frederick Mecar - engineer and mother Augusta, with maiden name listed as unknown. The informant was Emily Stanburg also of "Corio".
Augusta is buried at Rookwood Cemetery, C of E section. She was born Hamburg and had been in NSW 60 years. She married in Hamburg at age 26 to Charles Louis.
Children are listed as living are: Minnie age 55, Johanna age 50, Charles age 40, Emily age 36, Louisa age 32, 2 males and 2 females deceased.
On Rose Annie Louis and John Fairley Walker's marriage certificate it states they were married in the District of Pleasant Creek, Borough of Stawell, County of Borning on 7 Dec 1874.
John was born Glasgow, Scotland, was a confectioner aged 27 residing at Stawell, Rose was a spinster age 21 born at sea on voyage from Hamburg to Australia. I can't quite read her occupation, she was residing in Stawell .
Her father is listed as Charles Louis - blacksmith, her mother is listed at August Mueller. The witnesses were the registrar Edwin J Bennett and M Thornfeldt.
This is all I know about the Louis family. I am just starting to work on the Walker family.
