Hi,
Found this really old post on another site, thought it maybe of interest.

I am researching the IVITT or IVETT family of Lolworth,
Cambridgeshire, and originally from Cottenham.
I am descended from William IVITT who married Dinah
PAPWORTH in 1772 at Knapwell, Cambridgeshire.
They farmed at Yelling, Huntingdonshire, then moved to Lolworth,
about 1780.
William and Dinah had eight children :

William b. 1772 d. 1847 m. Mary Ann BEECHENO
Elizabeth b. 1774 d. 1832
Sarah b. 1775 d. 1850
Charles b. 1776
Robert b. 1777 d. 1830 in Islington, London.
Dinah b. 1780 d. 1781
Mary b. 1782 d. 1782
Mary b. 1787 d. 1844 m. William ROWTON.

Most of the daughters did not marry, but the eldest son William
IVITT junior had a family of about 6 daughters, some of whom
married. They lived in Lolworth, and some of the family moved to
Doddington, in the fens, and Swavesey.
William IVITT senior and his son William junior were farming about
300 acres at Lolworth. William senior died in 1823 aged 78 years,
described as a yeoman farmer.
William senior had a brother Robert IVITT who died in 1772. Robert
IVITT married Lydia PAPWORTH, a sister of DInah, and they had
2 sons William IVITT and Robert IVITT junior. William IVITT
drowned in 1824 in Cambridge. (see Cambridge F.H.S. magazine
1996 for an article about his death).
Robert IVITT d. 1772 left a will proved in the P.C.C. and he left his
property to his brother William, described as a yeoman.
Sarah IVITT d. 1800 married John PAPWORTH, brother of Dinah,
appears to have been a sister of Robert & William IVITT. They lived
at Knapwell.
Robert IVITTs will mentions an orchard at Cottenham, so they had
connections with this village.
