From newspapers:

Edwin Ernest died 4 Aug 1895 aged 21.

Also another son who sadly died as an infant - from York Herald 19 Feb 1877:

Wallace George Calvert son of George Calvert builder of Slingsby died 3 Feb 1877.  Birth and death both registered Mar Q 1877, Malton.

Looks as if Bertha may not have married - Death reg Jun Q 1968 - Bertha E Calvert, Bulmer 1b 570 b. 1881.

Hi Katlady, this is the Mary, Laura M was with as Grandaughter:-

1901 census

Henry Calvert 82 b Sheriff Hutton
Mary 81 b Scacleton? (More likely to be Scackleton, a couple of miles from Hovingham)
Ann 47 b Sheriff Hutton
Residing Sheriff Hutton, Malton
Census ref RG13/4542/52/1

Following Ann/e back should lead to Laura's father!
Leave the rest to you, but intrigued by the Ann Suggett/Suggit aged 55 and 65 with Henry and Mary in 1841/51?
