Theatre manager - any idea which theatre?

I have posted this on the Glamorgan board, but thought it probably worth posting here - apologies for the duplicate thread.

Got a relative on 1911 census (Charles Trenchard) who is down as a theatre manager - nothing else. He is living in Pontypridd at the time.

Any idea where I could find out more - are there any organisations, unions, etc where I may be able to trace any work he may have been involved in?

On a separate note, it's very possible one of his descendents may be married to Sir Tom Jones (trying to confirm this at the moment)

Per Google books ....a 1908 reference:

PONTYPRIDD, Glam. Population, 32310. Miles from London, 169. (ROYAL CLARENCK (THEATRE.— Proprietors, Messrs. Trenchard and Jones ; Manager, Mr. Charles Trenchard. There are two Town Halls, which arc iu- variably let to theatre companies ..

Aha! That would probably be the name of the theatre on the 1911 census that I could not read for the life of me!!!!!!!

now why couldn't I pull back these details from googling

Another question Shaun (my apologies), but is there any way of veiewing the page from Google Books? I've done the search, but it only shows the top corner of the page?? I can't get anywhere near the info you just got from it

Sorry this is a rather late contribution to the discussion ; both the County and the Palladium were managed / maybe owned by the Trenchard family ; my grandfather certainly managed the County and Vivian was my uncle
