Thanks very much 'Forfarian' et al.
I have returned to this query after some little further finds that may work.
I have emailed Edinburgh City Archives today.
At this point I do not remain much hopeful but one has to try again/anew.
I really appreciate explanations re 'Cambus' and 'More'.  What a wonderful language is Gaelic.  Reminds me of Australian Aboriginal place names.  No wonder people felt at one with the land of their home and culture.
