Hi

What exactly do you want to know? He is a blacksmith in Heague in the  1871,1881 and 1891 censuses with wife Ann. Buried 17 Mar 1897.

Hi,

Joseph Johnson born abt 1840 = Ann Hodgkinson born abt 1827 (a widow) on the 26th December 1864 at Milford, Derbyshire.

His Father - James Johnson
Her Father - Samuel Hawkins

The above can be found on www.familysearch.org

On the various census Joseph give slightly different dates of birth.

In the 1851 census  HO107; Piece: 2145; Folio: 40; Page: 15 Joseph is with his family in Heage and his father is given as William Turner, 50, blacksmith, mother is Sarah Turner 42. There are 6 Johnson children listed. Joseph is given as aged 9.

It looks as as if his mother might have remarried, however the strange thing is that there is a one month old unnamed  baby boy but his surname is Johnson, not Turner as you would expect.

In the 1851, Joseph has an older brother, Anthony born about 1834. He was baptised in Heage  on August 24th 1834, parents James and Sarah, so it is the correct family.

I presume that as you are doing this for a friend, you have access to the censuses, if not just ask for what details you want.
