It's a mixed thing. Found what I'm sure is granddads brother having been in thought. He's under his otherwise name and was mentioned it was the name used in the army and that Charles Blake was his real name. Dates age fit, no fixed abode, selling - he was a hawker, got had for theft ,string of convictions mainly theft between 1925 and 1933 and good conduct when he was in the army. That Blake name, his father changed his from Richardson though. Why he was in Gloucester don't know. He had been in the welsh pioneers and I suppose it was near enough. It does mention Walsall or Yorkshire. So glad I took the half price sub out! We need that sort of thing with yours i.e.i mean building up the evidence and chipping away. Mine was selling almanacs .

It must be very difficult when ancestors all of a sudden assume a different name! Congratulations, on your hit - you must be very happy!
