That works! There is an Anne Coulter living with them in 1861 shown as sister-in-law!

Thanks to you all.

Malcolm

Many thanks to you all for your exploring. William did marry Sarah Coulter et al. He is the son of Abraham Sharpe (1800, Risby). Please note that this is NOT Abraham Julian Sharpe who lives elsewhere in Risby just to confuse me.

I can't find Abraham's wife. Any offers ???

Best wishes to you all,
Malcolm

There's a baptism of Thomas Sharpe in Risby on 18 Jun 1826 (birth 28 Jan 1826) so he could be the one on the 1851 cenus brother of William. His parents are Abraham and Elizabeth. Also William
born 28 Jan 1828, bapt 11 May 1828, parents also Abraham and Elizabeth.

An Abraham Sharpe marries Elizabeth Spencer at Withersdale Suffolk  on 21 Apr 1824, but that's the other side of the county from Risby, so I don't think that's the one.

Don't know what Ancestry was playing at, same marriage on FindMyPast and its at Risby, so I think that's the one after all. Little Fanny came along quite soon after

Abraham was baptised at Risby on 21 Sep 1800, father Thomas (as we knew from the census) mother Elizabeth.

Thomas Sharpe married Elizabeth Sparrow at Risby on 12 Oct 1792. This gives possibility of Abraham having older siblings

There is burial in Risby for Elizabeth Sharp on 28 Aug 1831 age 28, so right age for Abraham's wife (William's mother).
And another on 2 Dec 1845 age 83, possibly Thomas's wife. She should be able to be checked on 1841 census.

There's baptism for a James parents Abraham and Elizabeth on 25 Dec 1830. Notes say born 27 July and late Spencer, so confirms right marriage. This James is buried on 5 Dec 1831 age 1.

So filled out the family a bit more
