it's Rushen - bur age 81 12 Feb 1934 - are you sure there is a will ? tho there should be probate if there was any Manx estate - try looking at newspapers for that week (www.imuseum.im ) to see if anything reported tho looks as tho had 2 unmarried daus at least as they are both buried Rushen in 1959

If my grandfather didn't own property on the Isle of Man would he need to make a will? I will try and look at the newspapers for the time of his death.

if there was no Manx estate then there may be no probate - you have to apply for probate to administer an estate but if he had no estate in IoM (eg no property, bank account or savings that were beyond the control of the widow) then why apply - you would be better paying a local researcher (manx museum library@mnh.gov.im has a list)

Family History is a Pandora's box if you don't like what you see find a new hobby, only concentrate on the proven facts and not the facts you think you know.

Hi, why do you think that there may be an extra child, do you think it was with Maud Watson, I would have thought that there would have been a Will, I think your next step is to contact the Museum with all the information you have got.
