deciphering parish register

HELP. Trying to decipher Llanbedr y Cennin 1741 parish register entry; have deciphered "Robert Jones of Llangerniew" (which I know is in Denbighshire) but stuck with Elizabeth Parry "of Llanbo??y?". Could anyone help with Elizaberth Parry's parish.

It looks like Llanbo*ddy :-\

* could be an e

PS  - only place that I can find that is anything like it is Llanboidy but that's in Carmarthenshire so don't think it's that!

PPS - index suggests that it is Llanbedr but others from there are recorded otp  :-\

Have now had a detailed look (enlarged) and I think it says 'Llanbeddr'    The e is like the e in September (below) and the superscript th of the line below makes it look like a y rather than an r.

Looking back at a few pages worth of entries, I would say the Parish is Llanbedr.

Thanks, guys,

My first thought was Llanbedr - but then I wondered why most of the other 'brides' were "of this parish" even when the bridegroom came from elsewhere!

I think its Llanbedr as well but as you said, why not put "of this parish".

A long shot could be that its another Llanbedr? There are two further Llanbedr's in North Wales, the first is called simply Llanbedr and is on the coast about 3 miles south of Harlech in the old county of Merionethshire (now Gwynedd), the second is Llanbedr-Dyffryn-Clwyd about 2 miles north of Ruthin in Denbighshire. As both places are both about 30 miles from Llanbedr y Cennin this is a long shot.

If this were the case, there are quite a lot of people from another Llanbedr getting married in the parish of Llanbedr y Cennin ;)
