could anyone please help me. i am trying to find info. on william h lines who i believe came from southampton. he married florence mary carpenter nee cox in 1926 southampton, william died a year later in 1927 southampton. we cannot find anything on him including how he died so young. florence is my husbands grandmother. she kept her life to herself so we could not find out anything.....help please.

There is further info indexed on the death registration, namely that he was aged 25 at death (Sep qtr 1927). The cause of death would be stated on the death certificate.

Have you got the marriage certificate to identify William's middle name & occupation, and details of his father and of the witnesses?

Hi

Freebmd has several births between 1901-1902 but none in Southampton or any other part of Hampshire.  All are William Henry Lines and registrations were in Southwark, Birmingham, West Ham & West Bromwich

On FreeBMD there were three births Vera A Lines Dec Qtr 1920 Stockbridge, William H Lines Mar Qtr 1923 Stockbridge and Ruby W Lines June Qtr 1927 Stockbridge -all had the mother's surname of Cox. Not sure if this is the same family.
