I`m finding the new version quite awkward to use.

PDF is very slow to load, and text is badly interpreted, I much preferred the old site.

Yes, I know what you mean!  I've tried looking up various places, in the off chance of finding a tradesman member of my family tree, but have given up to a certain extent.  Seems to take so long to do a basic search.

I was trying to get onto Leicester Historical directories a few weeks ago with no success - maybe because they were changing to new version ? - anyway started googling the directory I was after - eg Kelly's Directory 1915 & found that anything on this site.....

was SO much easier to search in that you didn't wait so long for the page to load & you could skip searches if you knew that your search would be on page further along in the directory.

I was very happy with this cdm site & would recommend it for searching directories. Must say though I haven't had the need to do any searches lately so haven't used the new version of Leicester directories.

Thanks, but this link takes me to the new version. 

I think it only changed recently, I was still using the old one  which was running side by side and you had the choice of that until it closed.
