Cant find marriage of John Pollard and Elizabeth ? must be between 1861 and 1871

I wonder if anybody could help?
John Pollard born 1842
Ship Carpenter
Porlock
died 1890 in Ilfracombe apparently?

Married
a lady called Elizabeth .....?
from Abergavenny,Monmouthsire

It must have been between 1861 and 1871
as in 1861 they were not living together and in 1871 they were

On the census they where living in Porlock Weir together

Does anybody have any idea of Elizabeth's surname?
Or where and when they married?

1871 shows her as Ester/Esther Elizabeth.  Somebody called Alison Jordan has notified an amendment so may have an interest in the family

Why does Jones have to be such a common name

I wonder if I could be a nuisance and ask if you could have a quick look for her on the 1851

It's the one surname you don't want it to be isn't it    Suggest you buy a copy of the marriage cert which will at least pin down a fathers name & occupation to make a census search easier

 all  children born Ilfracombe,  so  maybe it was Esther Elizabeth that  died ?

I agree with jan57 - John Pollard seems to have remarried to an Eleanor Ley Jun.qtr.1885 Barnstaple so looks as if 1st wife died 1881-1885.
