Gregory Gardner/Gardener/Gardiner

Hi,

I am looking for the baptism of Gregory Gardner/ener/iner born Molland, Devon c.1792. He married  Sarah Colwell in 1827. I have searched everywhere to no avail. There is a possibility that he is the son of John and Dorothy Gardiner of Molland/Knowstone but without a birth record I can't prove it.

The problem is that there were two Gregory Gardners, estimated dates of birth are within a year of each other. The second one was born in North Molton in 1793 son of William and Grace, and married Elizabeth Ward!! At first I thought it was the same man married twice but they are on the 1851 as two distinct families.

So if anyone can shed any light on the parents of 'my' Gregory I would be very grateful!

Hi Peter,

I'm beginning to get that impression!! Well, it was worth a go! I am more and more convinced that John and Dorothy are the link, especially as their son John calls one of his children Gregory.
