Marriage,Binsteed/Binstead+Pendergast
« on: Tuesday 21 June 05 14:39 BST (UK) »
One solid fact.Daughter Jane,D.O.B.28/3/1911,registered 5/5/1911 at Waterford District R.O.
Father.given as Isaac,known to myself+others as Billy,Mother, Mary Pendergast.
Address,just O'Brien Street,which I have checked through for period involved.No luck.
A sweetener,in later years and locations BinstEAD used!!
One Binsteed, born Ireland,1863 does not show up for my efforts, nor a family of the name.
Opinions anyone?
         Washed out,Goggy. ???

Further to the foregoing.Child 'b' in March, reg;after 1911census,Parent's address at reg;O'Brien St.It is possible they lodged with either Widger's or Whelan,or with Byrne;s,all believed living in same street,or with Mother's rellie's close by.
Question is,how did they dodge the census?
             Puzzled,Goggy.

Hi Goggy, they did not dodge the 1911 census they were living in Stephen St, Thomas Binsteed, 6 in all in the house hold, the archives did only half Stephen St, for 1911, as they left out 12 families. Many years ago I copied the index of each street in Waterford City for the two census, Jim
