Looking for the parents of John Windley who died in WW1 1915

Hi all,

John Windley was killed in action on 13th May 1915. His service number is 4386.  He was with the 3rd dragoon guards.
I need to know for sure that this is the correct John Windley (brother of my gr-grandfather).
Therefore I need to know who his parents were. Are they mentioned anywhere in his servicerecords maybe ? He was born in Woodford Essex about 1891.

 I  can't  see  any  Service  records  for  him  , on Ancestry ,   Many    service records for  WW1    were  destroyed in  WW2   in  a bombing  raid   His CWGC  entry  has no  added  info re  parents either  (  some  say  son of/ husband  of     xx)

The Nearest I have found is the 1891 Census

Hi Iria,

Census 1891 is correct. Census 1911 I did not have yet. thanks.
The John Windley from census 1911 and the John Windley from records soldiers died the Great War are the same I think. But still no proof so far that he is my gr-grandad's brother

 Maybe   getting   in  touch  with the  Dragoon  Guards  may   help , to  see if they  have any  records
