My grandfather, James Percy, had always said that he had many relatives in Dumfries, but never got to go back after coming to the United States at the age of 13.  My mother is still alive, and any information I can get her about her uncles and cousins will be a joy to her, I know.  I know that some of both the Percys and Moffatts come from Annan, and a one time these Percys even live in Maxwell Town.

I believe that this would be the son of our Walter Currie Percy, born in 1911.

mary creighton is one of 6 children born to john creighton/ruth dickson  isaac dickson 1796  david 1798 betty 1800 mary 27/3 1803 janet 1805 james 1807         mouswald churchyard sacred to the memory of john creighton died at mouswald banks 28th march 1809 aged 48 years also ruth dickson his spouse died at east mains of rockhall 29th april 1820 aged 48 years also david creighton son of david creighton tailor in roucan  and catherine swan died 21st march 1834 age 15 monthe  other inscriptions    csc

Yes, Andrew is my ggg grandfather, and Mary Creighton is my ggg grandmother.  Their George is my gg grandfather.  Thanks for your help.  Do you know if these Percys are still a part of Dumfries, today?

there are 3 percys in the phone book 1 of them in the next street will try to find out          there are also percys buried cummertrees     andrew percy who died 2nd january aged 54 years also jane irving his spouse who died 4th june 1811 aged 75 years erected by their sons andrew and george percy           john percy  old georges brother son of mary lived in annan was a master shoemaker in murray street had several children jane william margaret isabella robert   last time i see him in 1901 he is at 80 cowans street stirling  his wife was born kirkpatrick fleming his mother in law from hoddom  not found janet   mary henderson black percy died 1910  i think the percys were agricultural labourers  there are a few born mouswald  the same time as my kerrs they are also buried near them  csc
